In the wake of Hurricane Irene I am asking that everyone be safe. I was actually suppose to be in San Juan now on vacation and cancelled at the last minute. Thank God that I did.
I just finished a gig and live recording at Smoke in New York City with Vincent Herring and Eric Alexander. Lots of fun. This is a follow project to “The Battle” that we also recorded at Smoke a few years ago. It will be released on High Note Records.
I will also be performing in New York City in the fall with the wonderful vocalist, Mary Stallings with the Eric Reed Trio which we will also record.
Other exciting gigs and projects in the fall, Curtis Fuller, Ron Carter, Carl Allen – Rodney Whitaker Project, Christian McBride and Inside Straight and much more.
