I can't believe that the end of 2008 is upon us. Also, I just realized how long it's been since I have updated my site. It's crazy, good but crazy.

Rodney Whitaker and I will have a new release on Mack Avenue Records in the Spring of 2009 entitled "Work To Do" featuring Kirk Whalum. This project was a lot of fun and we're really proud of this recording. More details to follow.

Hank Jones at 90 years old! I just played with him in Italy and he's amazing. Still strong and still swingin'. Looking forward to more dates with Mr. Jones.

I just finished a jazz cruise with Benny Green and Ben Wolfe. That was a lot of fun. Always great to play with my man Benny. Upcoming gigs will be with Javon Jackson and Les McCann. I played with them a few months ago in Telluride, CO. This gig will be in Detroit. Les is still hittin' hard. It will be a lot of fun.

Someone recently told me that "Life is 10% what happens but 90% what you do with what happens". That was powerful. Make something happen, it's up to you!
