HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!! 

I just finished a week long workshop with Juilliard Jazz in Atlanta, GA. Man, it does my heart good to see these young musicians' love for music. This is what being a musician is all about for me. To affect change in one's life. Art Blakey says "that music is suppose to wash away the dust of everyday life". Amen..... I want to just encourage of them to continue to love music and people and share your love and experiences with everyone. The music belongs to everyone.

There has been lots going on. This time of year is particularly reflective for me as graduation has just past I often think of the students whom I have seen come and go. It's amazing to see their growth and development. So, this is to all those who have just graduated and are now on to the next phase of their lives. May God Bless and Keep you. Best of all to all of you.

I would also like to say a heartfelt goodbye to a gentlemen whom I had a chance to work with. He was a GREAT music and a GREAT man! He also happened to be the brother of one of my drumming hero. To Mr. Henry "Hank" Jones. We love you and we'll miss you.

Someone recently told me that "Life is 10% what happens but 90% what you do with what happens". That was powerful. You have to do something to e somebody. DO SOMETHING! Make something happen, it's up to you!

My prayer is that everyone will have even better year than you can even imagine. If you can think it, it can be done. It's ALL possible! "Expectations causes preparation and preparation produces results".
